Run For A Reason

The Run For A Reason Charity Program presented by Bank of America inspires runners to MOVE for a greater good, creating a lasting impact on our community (and themselves!).

Connecting Passion with Purpose

The Run For A Reason Charity Program presented by Bank of America is for passionate runners like you who want to make a difference and change lives. Connect your passion with purpose and commit to fundraise for a meaningful cause close to your heart.

Why Run For Charity?
By choosing to Run For A Reason, you will be a part of something greater than yourself, make an impact on those around you, and create lifelong memories with “teammates” who become “family." Let’s face it — there’s no better feeling than crossing the finish line and knowing that those miles counted for MORE! It’s time to connect passion with purpose and Run For A Reason in 2020.

How It Works
Runners will have the option to select a charity to run for in Race Roster. After registering and selecting a charity to fundraise for, charity runners will receive their own fundraising page through Race Roster that they can use to collect donations.

Run For FREE
If a charity runner selects to fundraise for one of our official charities, they will be eligible for a refund on their registration fee (essentially earning a FREE registration!). In order to receive a refund, charity runners must raise a minimum amount of money for the organization they selected. Fundraising minimums vary by event and are listed below. If a charity runner does not reach the minimum, they will not be eligible for a refund. Please note, in order to receive a refund the funds raised must be dedicated to only one official charity.
  • Marathon — $500
  • Half Marathon — $400
  • Marathon Relay Team — $1,000
  • 5K — $150
  • Kids Marathon — $50
  • Toddler Trot — $50
  • Pet Walk — $50
Please note, if a runner wants to fundraise for a charity not listed, they may be able to, however, they will not be eligible for a refund on their registration since the organization is not considered one of our official charities.
