USATF Half Marathon Championships

The nation’s best runners will descend on the City of Champions on Sunday, May 6, 2018 to compete for an event record prize purse totaling $85,000.

P3R is proud to host the USATF Half Marathon Championships in conjunction with the UPMC Health Plan Pittsburgh Half Marathon in 2018 and 2019. The men's and women's 2018 USATF Half Marathon Championships will be held Sunday, May 6, 2018. 

The 2018 USATF Half Marathon Championships will offer a total of $85,000 in prize money.The top 15 finishers in the men's and women's open divisions will earn guaranteed prize money, including a record $15,000 each for the male and female national champions. There will also be an opportunity to earn additional money through performance time and record bonuses

At the 2017 USATF Half Marathon Championships held in in Columbus, Leonard Korir, won the men's national championship in 1:03:04 and Natosha Rogers won the women's title in 1:10:45.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Citizenship: All athletes must be U.S. citizens and eligible to represent the United States at all levels of international competition.
  • USATF Membership: All athletes must be 2018 members of USATF in good standing. USATF membership may be purchased online, through your local Association Office, or by calling the USATF National Office at 317-713-4665.
