Packet Pick Up

Packet pick up is located at the GNC Live Well Pittsburgh Health and Fitness Expo on Friday, May 1, 2015 and Saturday, May 2, 2015. Click here for Expo hours and location.

All participants will be emailed a race packet confirmation ticket 1-2 weeks prior to the race weekend. Participants will need to show their email (either an electronic or hard copy) AND photo ID to pick up your participant packet - which includes the race number, participant shirt and goody bag - at the GNC Live Well Pittsburgh Health and Fitness Expo. Please note that race packet confirmation tickets will NOT be mailed to participants.

Any participant that does not receive a race packet confirmation ticket email, will be able to look up their race number online. Please note that participants will also need to show photo ID to pick up their participant packets.

If a participant is unable to pick up a packet in person during regular GNC Live Well Pittsburgh Health and Fitness Expo hours, someone else may pick up on the participant's behalf. The person picking up the packet is required to provide their contact information, the participant’s race packet confirmation ticket and a copy of the participant’s photo ID.

Late packet pick up location will be designated at a later date and will be available on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 PM ONLY. Packets will only be moved to late packet pick-up if participants complete this online form prior to race weekend. Once the form has been submitted, participants will only be able to pick-up their packet at late packet pick up; items will NOT be available at the GNC Live Well Pittsburgh Health and Fitness Expo. There is no race day packet pick up.

Travel To Relay Exchanges

Because of race day traffic and road closures, it is recommended most FedEx Ground Pittsburgh Marathon Relay participants walk to exchange zones one and two from the Downtown area.

Shuttle buses will be available on race day for exchange zones three and four ONLY. Shuttles will depart from Downtown on Centre Avenue, between 6th Avenue and Chatham Square starting at 6:00 AM. Click here to view the Pick-up/Drop-off Area map. Plan to arrive at your Relay Exchange at least 30 minutes before your teammates expected arrival. If you are taking shuttles, plan on a 30-minute bus ride. Shuttles will operate until the Relay Exchange Zone closes. There are no shuttles between relay exchanges.

Course Time Limits

City streets, police offices and support are contracted for specific times and cannot be extended. The following chart indicates road closure times per sector/mile and time limits per mile based on the time available for runners before the roads re-open. Some easy points to remember - all runners must be to the Birmingham Bridge by 10:20 AM and Half Marathoners must be at Mile 12, Forbes Avenue at Jumonville, by 11:00 AM.

If you cannot adhere to the scheduled time/pace per mile listed on the schedule, you will be asked to board a sweep vehicle that will take you to relay shuttle drop off area on Grant Street which is several blocks from the finish line. If you refuse to get on the vehicle, you must move to the sidewalk so traffic can resume. If you choose to continue after the course has reopened, there will be no medical support, fluid stations, or course marshals at intersections, and the course will no longer be marked. Participants after that time will not be guaranteed a time or medal.
