Pets can join in the marathon weekend fun by participating in the Pittsburgh Pet Walk. The one-mile Pet Walk will take place at Point State Park as part of Saturday's Family Day with all proceeds benefiting Humane Animal Rescue.

The Pittsburgh Pet Walk will take place at Point State Park.

Connect your passion with purpose and commit to fundraise for a meaningful cause close to your heart. You can select the charity that you want to walk for in the registration process.
Man's Best Running Buddy
Dogs aren't just your best friend; they could also be the ultimate exercise partner. Think about it. Dogs are always eager to spend time with their favorite human, and they have plenty of energy to burn.

Please note that Pet Walk participants will not receive a race packet confirmation ticket ahead of time. Race numbers will be sorted and picked up alphabetically by last name. 

SATURDAY, MAY 2 FROM 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM

Registration Rules
  • All well-behaved pets are welcome. 
  • Pets must have current vaccinations, be safe to bring in public and be leashed at all times. No retractable leashes please. 
  • If your pet is in heat, please leave her at home.
  • No refunds or deferments of entry fees. 
Course Rules
  • Owners must clean up after their pets; bags will be provided. 
  • Pets are not permitted to participate in the UPMC Sports Medicine/UPMC Health Plan Pittsburgh 5K Run or Chick-fil-A Pittsburgh Kids Marathon events. 

There are three categories for awards:

  • Cutest Pet
  • Pet/Owner Look-A-Like
  • Best Costume

Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category.
